Microsoft Project Natal aka Kinect pre E3 demo at LA
Monday, June 14th, 2010This video was caught before the E3 2010 event at Los Angeles. Shows the amount of people queuing up for the gaming event of the year and the buzz going on inside and outside the event. More importantly a glimpse of the newly named Kinect device from Microsoft working in its full glory. It shows people on stage dancing to music and interacting with the Kinect device. From the pre showing of the E3 2010 event seen here it definitely looks like this year is going to be a big one. More E32010 news to follow.
A glimpse of 4 new games for Project Natal on Xbox 360

Peter Molyneux: As the console technology evolves, we will see new genres appear.

Peter Molyneux at Lionhead Studios talks about how several developers have tried to merge game genres together to create a new one, but ultimately these have failed. They failed due to the lack of technology, they fail to realise that all the genres have been made and maxed out. They only way we will ever see new genres is if the console technology really changes. With the introduction of Project Natal and Playstation Move, this is starting to happen. He continues to say:

E3 2010 only a few days away
Saturday, June 12th, 2010The biggest gaming event of the year is getting closer and closer and now is where it’s time to get excited. Not only is it the biggest gaming event of the year but this year is going to be one of the biggest of the past few years.
There are so many games being released, new consoles being announced (yes there are new consoles being announced… well handheld ones anyway) that it almost makes me wish I had time (and the sources) to head off to LA and see the event live. In case any of you are wondering what’s on at E3 this year I have made this post to showcase some of the things to come. Granted some of these are an almost definite and some are a maybe but I think we will hear at least mentions of these topics. (more…)
